Description
Central Coast Energy installed this striking 14.5kW ground-mounted solar system for a homeowner in Fitzroy Falls looking to take control of their electricity costs. Unlike traditional rooftop installations, this system was designed as a ground-mounted array, an ideal solution for properties with large open land, roof structures that aren't suitable for panels, or homeowners who simply want to maximise panel orientation without the constraints of their roofline.
The system features 44 Trina SplitMAX 330W panels, known for their excellent performance in partial shade conditions and long-term durability, mounted on purpose-built ground frames and angled for optimal solar capture. Paired with a reliable Sungrow 15kW inverter, the system efficiently converts solar energy into usable household power throughout the day.
A system of this size is ideal for larger rural and semi-rural properties with higher energy consumption, homes running air conditioning, water pumps, or electric hot water, or families looking to future-proof their energy setup ahead of adding a battery down the track. Ground-mounted systems also offer the advantage of easier access for cleaning and maintenance compared to rooftop arrays.
